Becoming a Member of the St. Anthony Kicks Soccer Board

We are always welcoming of community members who would like to help shape the future of youth soccer in St. Anthony. You do not need to have extensive knowledge about the game of soccer, just a willingness to donate a little time, have fun and help provide a voice and direction for the future of St Anthony Kicks . If you have an interest in being a part of our organization, please feel invited to attend monthly meetings or contact any current board member.

MEMBERS OF THE ST. ANTHONY KICKS SOCCER BOARD

Matt Abel - President

Matt Abel is married to Linda and father to Sara, age 17, and Anna, age 15, who both play high school soccer in St Anthony. He has been employed by Brown Tank LLC. as a fabricator and forklift operator since 2003. Matt has been volunteering with St.Anthony soccer a few years taking care of the maintenance of the soccer goals.

Matt Hanson - VP Fundraising

I am a lifelong soccer player, coach, and fan. I played organized soccer into college and have played in a regular pick up league since then. After moving to St. Anthony, I started coaching, first as an in-house coach when one of my children started playing in kindergarten, and later as a traveling coach for the same core group of players that are now on the doorstep of graduating from high school. Although there have been many highlights along the way, I will always remember and cherish coaching that group in the summer of 2017, the season our team won the MYSA C3 Summer State Championship in Mankato, MN. I continue to be a strong supported of soccer in the community at all levels, and will remain a die hard fan of the "beautiful game".

As the Vice President of fundraising I oversee all of the primary fund-raising efforts, and am always looking for potential community partners who are interested in supporting the Kicks, either financially or through other forms of donation. A large portion of the organizational fund-raising occurs in late summer/early fall through ad sales for the fall program. Beyond providing funds for the program, these generous contributions have been instrumental in funding the various needs of the high school program, including the purchase of team uniforms and the new stadium field goals.

Laela Erickson - Treasurer

I began serving as Treasurer for the Kicks in March, 2021. In this role, I am responsible for handling all financial transactions and providing monthly and yearly financial statements to the Kicks' board and members.

Nathan Moracco - Secretary

Sarah Brenes - VP Traveling Soccer

Faye Kerber - VP Community Development / Uniforms
